Funerals

Funerals are celebrations of the resurrection. Trinity encourages that funeral services be held in the sanctuary, where members worship and where the rich resources of Christian hymnody and music are most accessible. The pastor and staff of Trinity Lutheran Church are committed to helping with funerals, either for a member or non-member of Trinity. To have the pastor conduct a funeral at Trinity, please call the church office at 301-733-2878. A funeral service should not be scheduled without clearing the pastor and the facility’s availability. Printed copies to our Guide to Christian Burial are also available at our church office. Praise Worship Band

“The Praise Worship Band musicians currently lead music in the church sanctuary on Sundays from 10-11 am.” Music plays an important role in the life and worship of our parish. Trinity is proud of the diversity in the music programs. Many different styles of music have been embraced by the congregation, from the music of “masters” to the more contemporary styles of music of today’s Christian composers. Martin Luther, writing on the subject of music said, “I wish to see arts, principally music, in the service of Him who gave and created them. Singers are never sorrowful, but are merry and smile through their troubles in song. Music makes people kinder, gentler, more staid and reasonable. I am strongly persuaded that after theology there is no art that can be placed on a level with music; for besides theology, music is the only art capable of affording peace and joy in the heart.”

About Us

“GODS LOVE IN ACTION” Trinity Lutheran Church is an interdependent part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and of the Delaware-Maryland Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We are a people called by the Holy Spirit and gathered together to be a community of faith centered in baptism, the proclamation and study of the Word, and participation in the Lord’s Supper. We believe in the Triune God, that God created and loves all of creation and that God’s only Son, Jesus Christ, transforms lives through his life, death on the cross and resurrection. We trust that God’s Spirit is active in the world. Trinity Lutheran Church reflects God’s gracious love in Christ through our worship, fellowship, witness and service. We dedicate ourselves to continual prayer, reading of the word of God and dialogue about how he is calling us to live our faith in the ever-changing world around us. As a reconciled and forgiven people, we are empowered and sent to bear witness to the love of Christ to all people serving Christ by serving all in need. We strive to respond with love and charity to those in need – in our church, in our local […]

Maria Graham

She came here with a vision, and walked every single step on the ladder to where she is now. Every step involved meticulous research and planning. Her ideas requires her to constantly try out new techniques and equipment before feeling settled on shoot. Don’t be surprised if you catch her with a pogo stick, an industrial laser or pieces of broken Japanese liquor bottles held together by duct tape on shoot day. It just means her brain is working. Specialized in fashion and portraits, she puts her skills to work for visionary creators, film producers and commercial art directors. Her works are featured in Vogue Homme Japan, Smug, D2, and the Wall Street Journal among many other.
